AFGE Local 3599 is the largest of the eight Locals, which comprise the National Council of EEOC Locals, No. 216.  Local 3599 falls under  the 6th District of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE).  The Local represents bargaining unit members in: Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville, Jackson, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Mobile, Nashville, Raleigh, Savannah, and Tampa.  The Local is dedicated to providing the best possible representation to our members through grievances, arbitrations, ULP's, RESOLVE mediations, legislative action, education, and training.

We are your work family.  When a member is ill we donate leave.  Through Lunch and Learns, Employee Recognition Month activities, and other functions the Local recognizes the outstanding work and commitment of members.  Knowledge is power, so the Local keeps members informed of agency and Government actions that affect your pay and your working conditions.  The Local is as strong as the participation of its members.  Get involved and enhance our strength through solidarity.
